destiny [ˈdɛstɪnɪ] n
1. the future destined for a person or thing; fate; fortune; lot
2. the predetermined or inevitable course of events
3. (Philosophy) the ultimate power or agency that predetermines the course of events
My destiny (and I happen to believe all of the above) was defined exactly two years ago. On Prince street in a city of millions. In the form of an Italian man with smiling eyes.
For this reason, amongst others, New York City will remain in my heart forever.
Do you believe in destiny?
It was on Prince Street?! How perfect! 🙂
I do. And I believe in love at first sight. And I believe NYC is just as romantic a city as Paris. And I love your story!!
Yes, NYC surely sets the stage for romance!
Yes, I really do believe everything is meant to happen for a reason. Good or bad!
It’s why I’m in Paris!
Happy to be sharing ‘destiny’ with you!
I absolutely, 100% believe in destiny.
Yes, this New Yorker believes in destiny! Wonderful photos…..
Hi, can I be a bore and say I haven’t got a clue what you’re talking about when you say ‘destiny’?
I can’t? OK, I thought not 😀 But I do have a love/hate relationship with you girls who can have such romantic dreams and be so carefree and spontaneous and dreamy-eyed and all the rest of it. When did I turn so bitter and cynical? Unromantic, quoi. I didn’t see that one coming! I’m sure I didn’t used to be like that. Once upon a time I was into all that sort of thing. And then grim reality took over! Oh well. Your story sure was sweet. Stay that way! It’s much better like that :-S
What happened to you to lose your romanticism? I’m sure reality can do that (and it’s a much longer story than can fit here)… but we must do our best to fight it and ‘believe’.
Beautiful photos and I definitively do!

Love this post, your stories and your love story – and I AM a believer!
Absolutely! I always loved Paris and always wanted to live here. I knew my hubby was “the one” even before I knew he was Parisian (I’m not kidding when I say he has zero accent) and I met him at a time in my life when I had totally given up on finding “the one.” How ironic that you met your Prince on Prince Street. I think every one experiences “destiny moments” like ours but sometimes you are too caught up or distracted to see them for what they are.
